On September 17, 2023 the work conference on pairing-assistance to Xinjiang University was held in Urumqi, Xinjiang, which thoroughly study and implement the spirit reflected in the important speeches and instructions during General Secretary Xi Jinping’s inspection tour in Xinjiang, deepen the cooperation and exchange of pairing-assistance program, and promote the continuous construction of "double first-class" project in Xinjiang University. At the conference, 15 persons in charge from the pairing-assistance universities made speeches, and signed memoranda of work of this year with Xinjiang University. Xue Lifeng, vice president of NENU , attended the conference as a representative and made a speech.
In his speech, Xue Lifeng says, Northeast Normal University considers the needs of the Party and the country as the first choice of school-running, and takes the initiative to carry the political task and glorious mission of pairing-assistance to Xinjiang University, plans from a big-picture perspective and makes every effort to ensure the implementation of the the pairing-assistance work. He points out that the university will strictly follow the instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, uphold the basic concept of "sharing of advantages, cooperation and mutual benefit", focus on "high-quality development", and fully support the construction of first-class disciplines of Marxist theory in Xinjiang University. He emphasizes that under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, NENU will take this conference as an opportunity to deepen the practical cooperation with Xinjiang University together with other sister institutions, accumulate useful experience, and contribute the wisdom and strength of NENU to the development of higher education in the central and western regions. During the conference, Xue Lifeng participated in the meeting of 2023 Northeast Normal University's pairing-assistance to the School of Marxism of Xinjiang University. Relevant personnel from the University Office and the Faculty of Marxism attended the conference and accompanied President Xue on his visit.
