During the visit to Russian State University, Yuri A. Mazei, Vice President of this university, received the delegation members. He welcomed the delegation of Northeast Normal University and hoped that the two universities would carry out joint training programs, academic exchanges between teachers and scholars, build joint research centers and conduct other aspects of cooperation. Both sides introduced their schooling history, disciplinary characteristics and situations in international.Wei Min said that the two schools should continue to strengthen the foundation of cooperation in chemistry, expand the field of cooperation, and carry out joint training programs for the students majoring in biology, physics and mathematics, etc. He was also concerned with the issues related to the construction of joint research centers so as to create conditions for the cooperation in scientific research between teachers and students of the two universities. During the visit, the deans of the School of Chemistry, School of Life Sciences, School of Physics and School of Mathematics and Statistics of NENU held docking talks with the corresponding faculties and departments of Moscow State University respectively. On behalf of NENU, Wei Min signed a cooperation agreement with the School of Asian and African Studies of Russian State University.
During the visit to Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Wei Min and his delegation exchanged views with Artem A. Voronov, Vice President of the university, and other relevant personnel on the history of development, talent cultivation and discipline construction of the two universities. Both sides agreed that the two universities should carry out in-depth educational cooperation, accomplish the complementation of disciplinary advantages, and provide more exchange paths for teachers and students. During the meeting, Ma Jiangang, dean of the School of Physics of NENU, and Andrey V. Rogachev, dean of the School of Physics of Landau of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology , had in-depth exchanges on the curriculum of joint training of students, course content, conditions of student selection and signing of the agreement, etc., and reached an agreement. Cao Shihai highly praised the achievements of Northeast Normal University in exchanges with Russia and introduced the main work of the Education Office of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Russia in terms of the alliance between Chinese and Russian universities, the two-way cultivation of international students and the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.
