The signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between NENU and Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory was held in Dongguan, Guangdong Province on October 23. Wang Weihua, the director of the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory and the academician of the Chinese Academy of Science, Xu Haiyang, the president of NENU, and Wei Min, the vice president of NENU, attended the ceremony.
Wang Weihua extended his greetings to the visitors and introduced the development of the laboratory to them at the ceremony. He expressed that both parties have their own advantages and characteristics, and the laboratory will provide high-level talents and platforms for cooperation between NENU and Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory.
Xu Haiyang briefly introduced the running of NENU and the construction of first-class disciplines. He expressed that NENU have good contacts and close cooperation with and the Songshan Lake Laboratory. This ceremony showed that both parties pay attention to focus on “targeting the global sci-tech frontiers, serving the main economic battlefields, striving to fulfill the significant needs of the country and benefitting people’s lives and health” and promote integration between scientific research and education and between industry and education. He hoped that the supervisors of both parties can contact closely, find cooperation targets, and launch pragmatic cooperation in the direction of the joint cultivation of students and young talents to realize win-win cooperation.
