Recently, Grigorii Konson, director of the Education Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and professor of the Innovation Education Department of Landau Institute of Physics, visited NENU. Liu Jiuqing, vice Party secretary of NENU and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, met Professor Konson with Fu Shencheng, secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Physics, and relevant persons in charge of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department attended the meeting.
Liu Jiuqing welcomed Professor Konson, thanked him for his efforts to promote the cooperation between the two universities, and introduced the general situation, the characteristics of disciplines and the current situation of international exchanges of NENU. Konson expressed thanks for NENU’s warm reception and careful arrangement. He expected the two sides to maintain coordination and implement the joint training program for students. Further, he proposed to promote scientific research cooperation, build joint laboratories, carry out teacher exchanges, consolidate and develop the cooperative relationship between the two universities, and innovate cooperation models.
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (national research university) was established in 1946, and it is one of the top national research universities of science and engineering in Russia. By 2010, a total of 10 alumni won the Nobel Prize.
