From November 24th to 26th, the 8th Creative Writing Annual Conference of China (2023) and the 2nd He Jianming Creative Writing Award Ceremony of China was held in NENU.
This conference is guided by World Chinese Creative Writing Association and the Writing Academy of China, sponsored by NENU, Shanghai University, Higher Education Press and Exploration and Free Views, undertaken by the School of Chinese Language and Literature, the Creative Writing Research Institute of China at Shanghai University, Shanghai Publishing Division of Higher Education Press, and co-organized by the Writing Academy of Jilin Province.
At the opening ceremony, Liu Jiuqing, vice secretary of the Party Committee and secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of NENU, first delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers and extended a warm welcome to the experts and scholars attending the conference. He Jianming, former vice chairman of the Chinese Writers’ Association, Chen Yaohui, chairman of Jilin Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Ge Hongbing, president of World Chinese Creative Writing Association, Liu Zihui, vice director of Shanghai Publishing Department of Higher Education Press, and Song Shilei, vice director of the secretariat of the Writing Academy of China, delivered speeches respectively. The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Wang Chunyu, dean of the School of Chinese Language and Literature, NENU.
