Professor Xu Haiyang, the president of NENU, led a delegation to visit Japan by invitation from November 13 to 17. The delegation held talks with relevant departments and institutions for higher education in Japan with respect to overseas talent recruitment, the development of the Preparatory School for Chinese Students to Japan, the exchange and cooperation of education, etc. The delegation visited the Education Section of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Japan and attended the 9th China-Japan Education Exchange Conference. It also visited the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Parliament Hall of the House of Councilors of Japan, Okayama University and Kobe Shinwa Women’s University, and had a warm talk with alumni representatives from the Japan Alumni Association of Northeast Normal University and Chinese international students studying in Japan.
