At the invitation of Japanese universities and research institutes, a delegation from the Institute of East Asian Studies of NENU visited the University of Shimane, International Research Center for Japanese Cultural Studies, and East Asian Academy for New Liberal Arts of the University of Tokyo from November 27 to December 1, and co-organized three international symposiums.
The three international symposiums in the three places made the team members deeply feel the development trend of academic research in Japan, and further enhanced their awareness of international exchange. The Japanese academic community also highly evaluated the research ability and academic standard of the Institute of East Asian Studies of NENU, and affirmed the contribution of the research team to the benign interaction of the East Asian academic community.
During the conference, Natsunao Yamaguchi, head of the Komeito Party of Japan, met Prof. Han Dongyu. Yamaguchi warmly recalled the time when he came to Changchun in 2019 to attend the celebration ceremony for the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Preparatory School for Chinese Students to Japan of NENU. Members of the team and Liu Dan, clerk of the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy to Japan, also visited Senator Akino and Mr. Nakajo,secretary of the Senate at the same time.
