The team led by Professors Qu Jiao and Zhang Yanan from the School of Environment has conducted a series of innovative and groundbreaking research projects focusing on the environmental risk assessment and pollution remediation of emerging pollutants.
Their research covers three main areas: the photocatalytic degradation of emerging pollutants in aquatic environments, degradation techniques and mechanisms in wastewater, and the toxicological evaluation of degradation by-products. They have achieved innovative and breakthrough research results.
The team has published a series of representative articles in authoritative academic journals in the field of environmental science and technology, such as Environ. Sci. Technol., Water Res., Appl. Catal. B: Environ., J. Hazard. Mater. These publications have received positive citations from domestic and international peer experts, including academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, as well as editors-in-chief and associate editors of renowned international journals.
Some of their research achievements have been awarded the second prize in the Natural Science Award category of the Jilin Provincial Science and Technology Awards in 2023.
