The 2024 Annual Conference on Population Geography in China was held at our university from August 23 to 25, 2024. Over 200 representatives, including experts, scholars, and graduate students from 89 universities and research institutions, gathered to discuss theoretical frontiers and hot issues in population geography and to exchange the latest research results.
The conference focused on the cutting-edge research in population geography, addressing the important missions and new challenges presented by the new era. It actively explored new technologies and pathways for population geography research, and facilitated exchanges and mutual learning among young scholars in the field. Held at our university, the conference further expanded the academic horizons of our faculty and students in related disciplines and enhanced the academic influence of our geography department. It holds significant importance for cultivating talented individuals and conducting extensive scientific research.
