Recently, the Key Laboratory of Molecular Epigenetics at the College of Life Sciences of our university, in collaboration with relevant laboratories at Huazhong Agricultural University and Purdue University in the United States, has made significant progress in understanding the epigenetic mechanisms regulating agronomic traits in soybeans. Researchers have revealed the regulatory role of non-CG DNA methylation in the growth and development of soybeans, providing new insights for enhancing soybean yield and nutritional value through epigenetic manipulation.
This research has been supported by the National Key Research and Development Program, the National Natural Science Foundation, special funds for basic research operations from central universities, and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.
