From September 22 to 23, 2024, the Seminar on Water Environment Pollution Prevention and Control Technology and the Annual Academic Conference of the Water Environment Branch of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences were held in Changchun. The conference included an opening ceremony and keynote speeches, as well as 42 topics across 5 subfields, with a total of 405 academic reports. More than 700 participants from the national water environment sector gathered to discuss water resource protection, water pollution prevention and control, remediation technologies, and water environment policies and management.
Our university has hosted this conference for two consecutive years. The event has provided a dialogue platform for researchers in the national water environment field and has played an important role in promoting water environment protection and pollution prevention efforts. Participants reached a broad consensus during the conference, achieving positive results in implementing the national strategy of “Promoting Harmony Between Humans and Water, Building Happy Rivers.”
