NENU recently held its 2025 Freshmen Military Training Conclusion and Commendation Ceremony at the athletics field. Attending the ceremony were officials from provincial military and educational departments, NENU leadership and heads of relevant departments.
The ceremony commenced with a parade of contingents from 21 schools and faculties, followed by impressive performances, including a military boxing display and a special exhibition by a select team from the School of Physical Education. Outstanding units and individuals were recognized with awards such as the “NENU Advanced Military Training Company” and the “NENU Military Training Model Student Medal”, presented by the attending leaders.
The two-week military training program encompassed both practical military skills and theoretical studies. In addition to core training, the program included a variety of special educational activities, such as viewing the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, lectures on national defense, battlefield medical aid training, and safety education for new students. Under the guidance of an instructor team composed of personnel from the Jilin Provincial Military District and university veteran students, all participating students strengthened their willpower, improved their physical fitness, and enhanced their sense of discipline. The program also enhanced their national defense awareness and overall qualities, showcasing the united, determined, and aspiring spirit of NENU’s youth.
