To encourage more university graduates to live and work in Changchun, the city launched its“Gathering Graduates in Changchun, Nurturing Talent in the Spring City” university graduates attraction campaign. Following a successful series of events during the spring graduation season, the autumn recruitment drive has now commenced. On September 25, Gu Gang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and Mayor of Changchun, visited NENU to engage with students. He introduced the city’s policies on industrial development and talent recruitment, highlighted its favorable environment for employment and entrepreneurship, and extended his best wishes and a sincere invitation to students preparing to graduate, encouraging them to embark on their career journey in Changchun and realize their dreams in a city where “the city and its residents empower each other for mutual success.” NENU’s Party Secretary Li Zhongjun presided over the event.
During the event, a promotional video showcasing the city of Changchun was screened. Xu Hui, a 2021 NENU master’s graduate now teaching physics at Jilin Provincial Experimental School, and Wu Zhaoxin, a 2022 undergraduate representative, shared their personal experiences of finding employment in Changchun through the “Plan to Strengthen Basic Education Teacher Force” and expressed their determination to build their careers in the city’s education sector, as well as their strong sense of belonging to this cultural city.
Also in attendance were Li Yunpeng, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Changchun Municipal People’s Government; Zhang Haizhi, Secretary-General of the Municipal Government; and Qin Xichun, First-Level Inspector of the Municipal Party Committee; Chang Qing, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of NENU, and Shao Zhihao, Assistant to the President and Principal of the High School Attached to Northeast Normal University. Officials from the Publicity Department of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee, Changchun Education Bureau, Changchun Science and Technology Bureau, Human Resources and Social Security of Changchun, and Changchun Talent Development Group Co., Ltd, as well as representatives from NENU’s relevant departments, faculty, and students, also participated in the event.
