Published:October 11, 2025 Review:

From September 29 to October 2, the National Finals of the 2nd “Cultural China” Graduate Transformation and Development Competition – Dance Category were successfully held at the Jingyue Campus of NENU.

Guided by the Department of Degree Management and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education, and co-hosted by the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center and the China Association for Science and Technology Youth Science Center, the event was organized by NENU with academic support from the National Steering Committee for Professional Graduate Education in the Arts.

This year’s finals brought together 672 participants from 46 universities and institutions across China and abroad. A total of 36 teaching courses and 81 dance works were shortlisted, creating a vibrant stage that celebrated dance artistry and educational innovation.

Students and faculty from NENU achieved outstanding results. The university’s entries received multiple first, second, and third prizes in the Dance Education, Dance Creation, and Dance Performance categories. Young faculty members Yao Lei and Hou Chen won the Excellent Instructor Award, while NENU was honored with the Outstanding Organization Award.

The success of the competition and the remarkable achievements of NENU’s participants highlight the strong results of the School of Music and Dance in cultivating high-level graduate talent. Moving forward, the school will continue to advance high-quality postgraduate education, foster innovative talent in the cultural field, and contribute to building a stronger nation in education and culture.
