The office of Retirement Affairs of the CPC Northeast Normal University Committee recently hosted the inaugural “The Renewed Brilliance of Veteran Educators” High-Level Forum on Party Building for Retired Faculty and Staff.
Attendees included Hou Yonggang, Director of the Bureau for Retired Personnel of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee; former Party Secretaries of NENU Zhou Jingsi and Sheng Lianxi (also Professor at the School of Environment); as well as persons in charge from Jilin University, the Jilin Provincial Meteorological Bureau, the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics (Chinese Academy of Sciences), the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (Chinese Academy of Sciences), the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology (Chinese Academy of Sciences), the Songliao River Water Resources Commission of Ministry of Water Resources, China FAW Group Corporation, CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd., State Grid Jilin Electric Power Co., Ltd., the Jilin Branch of the People’s Bank of China, and the Jilin Bureau of the National Mine Safety Administration. All Party branch secretaries and committee members of the office of Retirement Affairs of the CPC Northeast Normal University Committee also attended the forum.
This high-level forum aims to build an exchange platform for the education system, promote broad sharing of practices in Party building for retirees across various sectors, effectively address the difficulties and challenges in the work, enhance the theoretical and practical capabilities of Party affairs personnel serving retirees, comprehensively improve the theoretical level and professional capabilities of Party workers for retirees, and push the Party building work for retired faculty and staff to a new level.
