Recently, the 30th China Daily “21st Century Cup” National English Speaking Competition Grand Final concluded successfully in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Students from the School of International Studies at NENU achieved notable results at the national level.
Li Lingyi, an undergraduate student from the Class of 2023 majoring in English (Free Pre-service Teacher Education Program), won the National Second Prize under the guidance of Professor Zhang Huiping. Guo Shiqiang, an undergraduate student from the Class of 2023 majoring in English (Science and Technology Communication), received the National Third Prize under the supervision of Professor Feng Qi.
Earlier, NENU hosted the Jilin Provincial Round of this competition. In the provincial contest, Li Lingyi won the First Prize and successfully advanced to the national finals. Guo Shiqiang distinguished himself in the university-level selection and qualified directly for the national finals by securing first place. In addition, Shang Zhiyuan, an undergraduate student from the Class of 2023 majoring in English, was awarded the Third Prize in the provincial competition under the guidance of Professor Zhang Liwei.
