On May 9, NENU held an online information and policy briefing session for the 2026 NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program (Overseas). To accommodate scholars across different global time zones, the event featured two dedicated sessions for North America and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as Europe, attracting a total of 213 young scholars from China and abroad.

During the sessions, representatives from NENU’s Talent Affairs Office of the CPC Committee and relevant schools and departments provided detailed explanations on key topics including application procedures, disciplinary alignment, and talent support policies. Recipients of the Program also shared their personal experiences of starting and advancing their research careers at NENU. A representative from the Talent Affairs Office offered an in-depth interpretation of the program policies and NENU’s supporting talent development system. Through promotional videos showcasing the university’s research platforms, participants were also introduced to the university’s research facilities and interdisciplinary collaborative innovation environment.

The event attracted outstanding young scholars from various countries and regions, further enhancing awareness of the university’s talent recruitment policies and support mechanisms while expanding the university’s international influence among overseas academic talent. Moving forward, NENU will continue to improve its talent development ecosystem and warmly welcome outstanding young scholars from around the world to apply for the program with NENU as their host institution, jointly contributing to the advancement of excellence in teacher education and the development of world-class disciplines.
