The inaugural meeting of the School of Physical Education (School of Winter Sports) Chapter of the NENU Shenzhen Alumni Association was held on June 13 at Shenzhen School of Northeast Normal University Affiliated High School.
The event was attended by Zhang Baoquan, Lifetime Honorary President of the NENU Shenzhen Alumni Association; Jiang An, President; Liu Fengning, Vice President; Zhang Jian, Secretary-General; Song Rui, Party Secretary and Executive Principal of Shenzhen School of Northeast Normal University Affiliated High School; the head of NENU’s Alumni Affairs Office; members of the leadership team and faculty representatives from the School of Physical Education (School of Winter Sports); representatives from NENU alumni associations across China; and more than 100 sports alumni based in Shenzhen.
In the opening remarks, Song Rui extended a warm welcome to all participants and expressed his best wishes for the future development of the chapter. Li Zhuo, representing the preparatory committee, reported on the establishment process of the chapter and reviewed the activities organized by alumni of the School of Physical Education (School of Winter Sports) in Shenzhen in recent years. A representative of the School of Physical Education (School of Winter Sports) read the official approval issued by the NENU Alumni Association authorizing the establishment of the chapter. Appointment certificates were then presented and the chapter flag was officially conferred, marking the formal establishment of the chapter.
On behalf of NENU, the head of the Alumni Affairs Office briefed the alumni on NENU’s recent development, conveyed the University’s continued care and support for its Shenzhen alumni, and expressed high expectations for the chapter’s future growth. Zhang Baoquan and Jiang An each delivered remarks, reflecting on their enduring ties with NENU and the strong bonds among alumni while encouraging the chapter to capitalize on its disciplinary strengths to contribute to the development of education, sports, and culture in Shenzhen. Miao Dapei, the newly appointed Advisor, Lang Lin, Honorary President, and Zheng Liang, Executive President of the chapter, also shared their remarks, expressing enthusiasm and confidence in the chapter’s future work. On behalf of fellow alumni associations, Zhang Chongfeng, Secretary-General of the School of Physical Education (School of Winter Sports) Chapter of the NENU Shenyang Alumni Association, delivered congratulatory remarks and presented a calligraphy work entitled “NENU Family,” symbolizing the shared heritage and enduring friendship among NENU alumni across the country. The event concluded with all participants singing the Northeast Normal University anthem and posing for a group photo.
The establishment of the School of Physical Education (School of Winter Sports) Chapter of the NENU Shenzhen Alumni Association provides a new platform for sports alumni in Shenzhen to strengthen connections and foster collaboration. It is expected to further unite alumni, support the development of NENU’s sports disciplines, and contribute to the high-quality development of Shenzhen’s education, sports, and cultural sectors.
