The NENU co-led China Pavilion makes its debut at the 20th Busan Contents Market (BCM)

Published:June 24, 2026 Review:

The 20th Busan Contents Market (BCM) was held in Busan, the Republic of Korea, from June 10 to 12. As one of the largest international platforms for audiovisual content exchange in the Republic of Korea, BCM brought together 700 organizations from 55 countries and regions this year. Under the guidance of the State Council Information Office and the National Radio and Television Administration, the China Pavilion, jointly organized by NENU and the Jilin Provincial Radio and Television Administration, made its debut at BCM. The pavilion showcased the innovative achievements of outstanding Chinese audiovisual institutions and universities, serving as a high-level platform for communication with the Republic of Korea and international cooperation.

The China Pavilion brought together 15 outstanding domestic institutions as exhibitors. NENU participated alongside several leading universities, including Tsinghua University, Communication University of China, and Zhejiang University, as well as leading enterprises in the film, media, and technology sectors. Together, the exhibitors formed a collaborative lineup integrating government, industry, universities, research institutions, and enterprises. During the event, participating organizations held more than 300 business discussions, reached multiple international cooperation agreements, and received broad recognition from the global market for Chinese audiovisual content and cultural technology products.

During the event, the Asian Alliance for University-Enterprise Collaboration in International Communication of Film and Television was officially launched. As one of the founding members and the first rotating chair institution, NENU organized the alliance’s inaugural thematic seminar. Bringing together universities, mainstream media organizations, and leading film and television institutions from China and the Republic of Korea, the alliance focuses on areas including cross-cultural creation, international communication talent development, and joint production, establishing a long-term platform for university-enterprise collaboration in the Asian film and television sector. In addition, NENU established cooperation with mainstream media organizations from APEC member economies, including the Republic of Korea, Japan, and the United States, and officially launched the transnational co-produced documentary Matsutake’s Journey. The project is expected to further deepen audiovisual and cultural exchanges across the Asia-Pacific region.

NENU’s participation in BCM represents an important effort to leverage its disciplinary strengths, serve national strategic needs, and enhance its international communication capacity. In the future, NENU will continue to utilize international platforms to deepen cooperation in film and television arts, talent cultivation, and scientific research, further enhancing the global influence of its related disciplines and its capacity for international communication.
