NENU Hosts 20th International Conference on Complex Medical Engineering

Published:August 29, 2026 Review:

The 20th International Conference on Complex Medical Engineering (CME 2026), co-hosted by NENU and the Institute of Complex Medical Engineering (ICME), was held in Changchun from August 21 to 23. The conference was organized by the NENU School of Psychology and the Jilin Psychological Association.

The conference featured 13 parallel sessions and one special workshop, covering frontier topics including assisted diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease, training for children with autism, adolescent mental health, EEG-based emotion recognition, drug-target interaction prediction, generative AI and education, internet behavioral addiction, and reading comprehension of children with special needs. The program fully demonstrated the deep interdisciplinary integration across medical engineering, brain science, psychology, artificial intelligence, and education.

Approached from the perspective of interdisciplinary integration across psychology, medicine, engineering, neuroscience, computer science, and data science, the conference has effectively enhanced the international visibility of NENU’s psychology discipline. It will advance the upgrading of research paradigms in NENU’s psychology discipline, provide a valuable reference for the deep integration of psychology with artificial intelligence, brain science, and clinical diagnosis and treatment, and offer important insights for developing distinctive research directions and cultivating top-notch talent in the field — thereby supporting the high-quality development of NENU’s psychology discipline and related interdisciplinary areas.
