NENU Co-Hosts Series of Events at 21st China Changchun Film Festival

Published:August 29, 2026 Review:

The “Ice and Snow, Everlasting Spring, Wisdom Converges, New Life Emerges” series of events, part of the Golden Deer AIGC Moving Image and Cultural Creativity Unit at the 21st China Changchun Film Festival, was held at the Changchun International Film Metropolis on August 26. Organized by the Organizing Committee of the 21st China Changchun Film Festival, the event was co-hosted by the NENU School of Media Science (School of Journalism) and Jishi Media, and jointly initiated in collaboration with several relevant universities.

Under the overarching theme of “Ice and Snow, Everlasting Spring, Wisdom Converges, New Life Emerges,” the event comprised four segments: “the Film and Tourism Symbiosis–AIGC Empowering the New Future Industry Salon”, “the Golden Deer AIGC Light and Shadow Night and Honor Gala”, “the Wisdom Illuminates the Spring City–AIGC Moving Image Roadshow”, and “the New Cinema, Shared Dialogue–AIGC Cooperation Exchange”. Focusing respectively on industry dialogue, achievement presentation, project pitching, and resource collaboration, the four segments formed a complete chain from intellectual exchange and achievement showcase to project matchmaking and industrial synergy, further underscoring the innovative vitality and platform value of the Changchun Film Festival in cutting-edge moving image exploration, digital creative development, and urban cultural communication.

This event has injected new impetus into the development of NENU’s media and film disciplines and talent cultivation. Drawing on the high-end platform of the China Changchun Film Festival, it has established a high-level vehicle for exchange and cooperation featuring inter-university collaboration and industry-research integration, effectively linking top domestic film studies programs with leading industry resources. Building on Changchun’s identity as “the cradle of New China’s cinema”, the university's relevant disciplines will deeply empower the upgrading of the local film and cultural industry, explore new creative pathways for the integrated innovation of AIGC and cinematic art, and advance discipline development that closely tracks industry frontiers and talent cultivation outcomes that serve local development–laying a solid foundation for Jilin Province’s digital cultural and creative industry innovation, film talent cultivation, and the growth of an AIGC film creation ecosystem.
