The School of Politics and Law of NENU held the inaugural meeting of its Alumni Association recently. Attending the meeting were Vice President Wu Zhihui, the head of NENU’s Alumni Affairs Office, members of the School’s Party and administrative leadership, former leaders of the School, retired faculty representatives, heads of academic departments, faculty representatives, and representatives of alumni and donors from all walks of life.
The meeting featured a certificate presentation ceremony for donors to the Alumni Development Fund. In recent years, alumni of the School have donated several million yuan in total, establishing a range of funds and programs—including the Kaihong Teaching Award Fund, the Yuan Yulan & He Peigang Education Development Fund, the Alumni Reading Fund, the Weishi Education Development Fund and the Huashang Fund—which have provided strong support for discipline development and talent cultivation at both institutions. At the ceremony, leaders of the School presented donation certificates to alumni representatives of the 2006 graduate class.
