The School of Chinese Language and Literature of NENU held the inaugural meeting of its Alumni Association and the alumni forum marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the discipline on September 9. The events were attended by Pang Lisheng, Deputy Party Secretary of NENU; Wang Yan, former Deputy Party Secretary of NENU; Ma Xiaoyan, former Deputy Party Secretary and former Vice President of NENU; together with alumni representatives, members of the School’s Party and administrative leadership, and faculty and student representatives.
During the alumni forum, participating alumni engaged in in-depth discussions on such topics as discipline development, talent cultivation reform and the linkage and sharing of alumni resources. Drawing on their professional practice and career experience, they offered constructive suggestions on upgrading the disciplines, innovating talent cultivation models and ensuring the long-term operation of the alumni association, building broad consensus on advancing the development of the School.
Going forward, the School will take the alumni association as a bond, continue to pool the wisdom and strength of its alumni, carry forward the profound humanistic heritage of the Chinese language and literature discipline, and keep advancing its discipline development and talent cultivation to new heights.
