The 5th National Education Doctoral Forum was held in NENU from November 24th to 25th. Hosted by National MEA Education Steering Committee, this forum was jointly undertaken by the Graduate School, the Faculty of Education and the Academy for Research in Teacher Education. The theme of the conference is "Core Literacy and University Transformation."
Ma Xiaoyan, NENU's vice President and deputy Secretary General of Party Committee gave a welcome speech on behalf of NENU at the opening ceremony. She extended a warm welcome to all the participants and introduced the basic situation of NENU, its history, discipline construction as well as postgraduate education, and highly affirmed the importance of postgraduate education for Doctor of Education. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Lv Lijie, dean of the Faculty of Education.
The forum is composed of thematic lectures and four parallel sessions, in which 32 doctors of education launched profound discussions revolving around the issues such as "Core Literacy and Curriculum Reform" and "Core Literacy and Students' Development".
The closing ceremony was presided over by Professor Sun Wei, deputy dean of the Graduate School. Lv Lijie made a summary of the registered papers and participants, and highlighted the dominant role of doctoral candidates in this forum.
