In order to implement the guiding principles of the National Education Work Conference and the Educational Planning Outline which emphasizes the improvement of the developmental level of college teachers and the quality of higher education, NENU is to hold the 2011 International Seminar on the Development of College Teachers under the guidance of the Educational Department of the Ministry of Higher Education from September 21 to September 22.
Centering on the theme “Development of College Teachers' Competence in Education and Teaching”, this seminar aims at discussing the current situation of college teachers' competence in education and teaching, and its existing problems in China. Based on the experience of developed countries, this seminar will carry out research and work on the institutionalization, systematization and digitalization of teachers' development so as to improve the level of college teachers' competence in education and teaching especially that of the younger teachers.
