Recently, the 2013 International Seminar for Rural Education with the topic of “International Experience and Local Practice of the Integrative Development for Urban and Rural Education”, was held in NENU. The seminar, which was hosted by the Rural Education Institute, a Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences, Ministry of Education, was designed to share successful experience of promoting rural education at home and abroad to further push the integrative development of urban and rural education. Over 150 experts and scholars from domestic universities and universities of Canada, Japan, South Korea attended the meeting. President Liu Yichun attended the opening ceremony.
